At times, customer questions and comments are best served in an open, responsive forum, or a FAQs site. Rather than re-invent the wheel, we’ve used a hosted solution from GetSatisfaction. If it’s good enough for the likes of Dell & Microsoft, then it should work for us. We don’t plan to ever screw up as much as they do.

GetSatisfaction’s free plan includes an independent forum for discussion and comments, Q&As, even the facility for our customers to suggest and vote on improvements.

#2 - It’s Easy To Sign Up

Signing up with GetSatisfaction is simple and quick, but there were a couple of quirks on the usability front:

  • Uploading your company logo is a nice feature, but GS could preview how your logo will look; for instance if you have a dark version and a light version.
  • It assumes all staff emails will be <name>@www.cheaphotelsgroup.com - Isn’t it weird they didn’t automagically remove the www.  from the start of the domain?

Adding staffmembers is easy, the email notifications are descriptive, so far we’ve been pleased with our (test) experiences with GetSatisfaction. I’m looking forward to actively engaging in customer feedback via GetSatisfaction.

Extra Customer Service: Toll-Free Number via Kall8

Sometimes, there’s no replacement for a human being, who you can talk with on the phone. That’s why we have 2 offices open a combined 24 hours a day, in Australia and the USA. Our toll-free number is on our Contact Us page, and we went with Kall8 as provider. Their VOIP toll-free service is high-quality, affordable and most importantly reliable. I wont accept any missed/disconnected calls, and haven’t had one yet with Kall8.
